Press Release: Aquatherm Industries Releases Design Upgrade for its 2″ Solar Pool Vacuum Breaker Assembly
October 4, 2012 Aquatherm Solar

Lakewood, NJ – The largest U.S. manufacturer of solar pool heating systems has just released a redesigned vacuum breaker which is now compatible with all brands of solar pool heating systems, including FAFCO Sunsaver and Revolution, Techno-Solis, Solar Hydronics Hi-Tec, Guardian and Suntrek collectors.

The newly released heavy duty vacuum breaker includes a reinforced housing, corrosion-free stainless steel spring and filter screens, and a chemical resistant Viton o-ring.

Previously, Aquatherm’s design could not be used with competitive systems due to the varying types of coupler hoses used to connect those collectors. The addition of a proprietary slide-lock on the solar pool vacuum breaker housing allows the part to be used in and make and model collector with 2″ header manifolds.

When used with Aquatherm’s own dual-durometer EPDM connector hoses, improvements on the design permits higher stagnation temperatures. The new vacuum breakers are currently available from all Aquatherm Regional Distribution Centers.
